Itinerary

The tour itinerary is as follows:

Day 1: Arrival in Bucharest

- meet the guide at the Bucharest International Airport

- dinner and accommodation in a traditional guesthouse.

Day 2: Bucharest - Horezu (202 km)

- departure to Horezu

- visit the most famous centre of ceramics production within Romania

- lunch at a restaurant in Horezu

- visit the most famous monasteries in Valahia: Horezu monastery (included in UNESCO World Heritage), Arnota monastery and ‘Single Tree' monastery and also some of most beautiful caves within Romania: Polovragi, Bistrita and Women's Cave.

- accommodation in a traditional guesthouse.

Day 3: Horezu - Calimanesti (57 km)

- breakfast at the guesthouse

- departure to Calimanesti-Caciulata

- Ramnicu Valcea city tour

- lunch at a traditional restaurant in Ramnicu Valcea, with traditional cuisine from North Oltenia

- visit to some important sites near Valcea: Cozia monastery, Ostrov Church and Roman Castrum

- dinner and accommodation in a traditional guesthouse.

Day 4: Calimanesti - Bran (165 km)

- breakfast at the guesthouse

- on the way to Bran, visit the fortified church in Prejmer (the biggest fortified church in the Southeastern Europe, built in the 14th century)

- in Bran, visit the famous Bran Castle (known as Dracula's Castle)

- dinner and accommodation at a guesthouse in Bran.

Day 5: Bran - Bucharest (193 km)

- breakfast at the guesthouse

- short presentation of Prahova Valley

- accommodation in Bucharest.

Day 6: Bucharest

- breakfast

- tour of the city with visitsto Parliament Palace, Cotroceni Palace and Village Museum, Victoria Avenue, University, National Theatre, Opera

- free time

- traditional dinner and accommodation in guesthouse.

Day 7: Departure from Bucharest

- breakfast

- transfer to Bucharest International Airport.
